Highland Park Gentrification Battle

If you haven’t been following the news, Highland Park is in the midst of a gentrification battle than has seen unusual tactics.

Residents placing homemade “eviction” notices has caused quite a stir in the community. I have even seen a few businesses graffitied pushing this agenda.

Highland Park is one of my favorite neighborhoods with its character, proximity to downtown and access to the Gold Line. Many other Angelenos are beginning to discover many of HP’s great attributes as well and is experiencing growing pain.
